Rock, Paper, Video #2 – New Media Family Event

The CCA is pleased to present “Rock, Paper, Video Art – The Sequel!” a special new-media family event.

All three of the CCA’s floors will become a creative playground with unique happenings in video, installation, painting, and cinema for kids, parents, and grandparents alike.

On the ground and second floor, participants will take part in a book-making workshop in which experimental books will be created by the group in a two-step process wherein children will write stories and draw illustrations to accompany them. The result will be photographed and digitally projected. Each workshop will last 90:00 minutes. This workshop is for children grade 1 and up.

In the nearby project space, the CCA will host the “Migdalor” bookshop where some all-time favorite children’s books will be read by workshop leaders or by the book’s original author. Children can draw in a specially-designed drawing areas while listening to the stories.

“CC-Cinema,” a special family-oriented silent film and video art program, will be screened in the CCA auditorium. The event is organized by artists and Betzalel Academy of Art graduates Eden Bannet and Tali Keren, who run the CCA’s children’s education program, and who believe that new media can and should talk to and touch everyone, including little kids, by inspiring their curiosity and encouraging them to explore new ideas.
