Sharif Waked: Balagan – tour with Mona Benyamin (Arabic)
Thursday, June 25 at 6 pm
Please join Mona Benyamin, CCA Tel Aviv Content Manager, for a tour of our current exhibition “Sharif Waked: Balagan.” The tour will emphasize the political power of Waked’s works, their connection to the Middle East and to its context, as well as their relation to the history of Palestinian art and culture. Furthermore, Benyamin will present the three main ideas behind the curatorial framework of the exhibition, which are the notion of “Appropriation” (in visual art), the etymology of the word translation “to carry across,” and the collision of word and image.
The tour will be held in Arabic and the number of participants is limited
Entrance: 10 NIS

Sharif Waked: Balagan – tour with Nicola Trezzi (English)
Saturday, July 4 at 11am
Please join Nicola Trezzi, CCA Tel Aviv Director and Curator, for a tour of our current exhibition “Sharif Waked: Balagan.” During the tour Trezzi, curator of the exhibition, will introduce the set of ideas that guided his dialogue with the artist, a dialogue that resulted in the selection of a specific group of works. This selection – which includes series such as “Arabesque,” “dot.txt,” “Tughra,” and “Just a Moment” – features pieces that have been “conceived” (a term that in this context becomes appropriate than “created”) by Waked over the last nine years.
The tour will be held in English and it will allow only 9 visitors
Entrance: 10 NIS
