Private view of El Lissitzky’s “Chad Gadya” at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art (Hebrew)

18.08.2021

Please join us for a private view of El Lissitzky’s “Chad Gadya” (1919) at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. This special event is part of the public program of the exhibition “Assaf Gruber: Transient Witness,” currently on view at the Center. Originally printed in 75 copies – each one featuring eleven lithographs in colors – many of them were destroyed during the Stalin era. The work, which deeply influenced Gruber, encapsulates the complex and multifaceted position of El Lissitzky (1890-1941). This is a unique opportunity to view this masterpiece, especially because the Tel Aviv Museum of Art holds the preparatory set of gouaches, which differs greatly in style from the printed version.

Wednesday, August 18 at 7 pm
The event will take place at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art
Participation is free of charge
Attendance is limited, please RSVP at info@history.cca.org.il
