Phil Solomon: The Secret Garden
A screening of five films by the American avant-garde filmmaker Phil Solomon

Following the screening at the Jerusalem Film Festival, Phil Solomon’s unique films will be screened at the Center for Contemporary Art in Tel Aviv.

The event will include five short works:
The Secret Garden (1988), 16mm, color, silent, 17 min.
The Snowman (1995), 16mm, color, sound, 8 min.
Remains to be Seen (1989, revised 1994), 16mm, color, sound, 17.5 min.
Psalm II: Walking Distance (from the Twilight Psalms series), (1999), 16mm, color, sound, 23 min.
Psalm III: Night of the Meek (from the Twilight Psalms series), (2002), 16mm, b/w, sound, 23 min.

Phil Solomon (b. New York, 1954) is a prominent American experimental filmmaker. His works have been exhibited at the Whitney Biennial of American Art, the New York Film Festival, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Tate Modern in London, and many other venues around the world.

Other works by Phil Solomon are currently on view at Mamuta Art and Media Center, Hansen House, Jerusalem.
