In & Out of Qasr al-Yahud – Conceptual Travels: a roundtable with Ella Littwitz, Nira Pereg and Aviam Atar. Moderated by Sergio Edelsztein (Hebrew)

Many of the artworks presented in “Ella Littwitz: A High Degree of Certainty,” currently on view at CCA Tel Aviv, were created by the artist following trips to Qasr al-Yahud. In 2013, the Center presented “Nira Pereg: All of This Can Be Reconstructed Elsewhere,” which featured, among other works, Mandatory Passage (2012-2013), a five-channel video installation shot by Pereg at Qasr al-Yahud. Following the premises presented in these works, Pereg, Littwitz, and Aviam Atar – an employee of the Israel Nature and Parks Authority, who guided Littwitz during her excursions – will discuss their experiences and share their reflections on the notion of site-specificity. CCA Tel Aviv’s founding director Sergio Edelsztein, curator of both exhibitions, will moderate.
