Freedom of Art / Art of Freedom

25.11.2015

Wednesday, November 25, 8pm
Artistic freedom has been at the heart of recent heated debates in Israel and internationally. What is the relationship between art and the state? Should there be limits to freedom of speech in art? If so, will art still be the same? In order to shed further light on this issue, which is at stake in many places in the world and also in Israel, the Association for Civil Rights in Israel (ACRI) and the Goethe-Institut Israel are holding a series of discussions that focus on international examples. For the second event in this series Georg Seeßlen will analyze artistic freedom in Germany.
