First to Laugh – New Media Event for the Entire Family

07.09.2013

On September 7th The Center for Contemporary Art invites families of all kinds to a special event in conjunction with the opening of the exhibition by renowned artist, Ori Gersht, and the launch of the 2013-2014 Kids Create Educational Workshops. The event is free but places are limited – RSVP

On Saturday, September 7th, the CCA will offer several creative activities, some that combine photography and painting, some that involve light and shadow composition games using projection and photography, as well as a frottage workshop inspired by Max Ernst’s pencil and graphite rubbings. On the top floor of the CCA will be an inaugural annual exhibition called “Kids Create,” which will showcase highlights from the past year’s weekly workshops and will include video, animation, sculpture, and painting – all created by children. Throughout the day, child-oriented guided tours of Gersht’s new exhibition, “Against Time,” will be available for the entire family.

The event is organized by artists and Betzalel Academy of Art graduates, Eden Bannet and Tali Keren, who run the CCA’s Children’s Education Program, and who believe that new media can and should talk to and touch everyone, including children, by inspiring their curiosity and encouraging them to explore new ideas.

To sign up please select a time slot and register only the number of children.
