Exhibition tours of Nicholas Hlobo: Inyoka Yobhedu and Reuven Israel: F.L.O.O.R. with Julia Lipkind (Russian)
Please join Julia Lipkind, MASA Curatorial Assistant at CCA Tel Aviv, for a tour of our current exhibitions “Nicholas Hlobo: Inyoka Yobhedu” and “Reuven Israel: F.L.O.O.R. (Formulated, Liminal, Oblique, Openable, Rectangles)”; during the tour, Lipkind will emphasize the multiple cultural connections generated by Hlobo’s work, from the most obvious ones to the more esoteric ones that are related to the complex identity of the artist; afterward, Lipkind will take us on a physical and conceptual exploration of Israel’s floor piece in an attempt to discover the mysteries of this work, which brings together the tradition of Modernism and that of indigenous cultures (Hopi and Navajo) in a unique fashion.
The event will be held in Russian.
Saturday, December 25 at 12 am
