Exhibition tour of Nicholas Hlobo: Inyoka Yobhedu with Tamar Dresdner (Hebrew)

27.11.2021

Please join guest-curator Tamar Dresdner for a tour of “Nicholas Hlobo: Inyoka Yobhedu,” currently on view at the Center. During the tour, Dresdner will introduce Hlobo’s work, which deals with issues of gender, sexuality, spirituality and ethnicity, spanning from works on canvas and paper to sculptures and performances. Following this introduction, she will focus on the work created by the artist for the Center’s ground floor gallery and inspired by Nehushtan. Furthermore, she will highlight links between the place where the work was created (South Africa) and the place where it is exhibited (Israel), while contextualizing it within Hlobo’s practice and latest body of work whose main material is copper.

The tour will be held in Hebrew.

Saturday, November 27 at noon
Duration: 45 minutes
Admission: 10₪ (for all tours, including “Reuven Israel: F.L.O.O.R.,” and “Shezad Dawood: Leviathan” in Hebrew)
